Career Support
The Career Services Division offers regular students the following programs to support their job-seeking activities. If you are searching for a job, we recommend joining the programs. (All programs are basically provided in Japanese.)

1.Future career path and career counseling
We provide advice on your future career path and job-seeking activities at the Career Services Division office.
Place: KUROKAMI North Campus, the first floor of General Education Building C
Service hours: 8:30–18:15 on weekdays * Closes at 17:15 during summer and winter holidays
Certified counselors also provide assistance.
Note:
(1) Reservation is necessary for certified counselors counseling.
(2) Contact the Career Services Division for more details.
(3) Ask for English services if needed.

Career preparatory course
This is a basic program for students who are starting their job-hunting activities. Students can conduct self-examination through career tests, learn how to create an entry sheet, and receive job-interview training.

Industry research seminar
People who work for leading companies in each industry will provide lectures regarding basic information and trends of the industry.

Company information session in the campus
Major companies in Japan and high quality companies in the Kyushu region hold information sessions on campus, which allows students to make more effective progress in their job-hunting activities. The Career Services Division will also hold company information sessions for international students, inviting 50 companies selected on the basis that they actively hire international students.
* Company information sessions will be held by either the Career Services Division or each faculty and department.

In this program, international students will learn the general procedures and the attitude they should have while searching for jobs in Japan.

Discussion meeting for students from Indonesia
In cooperation with the Jakarta branch of a major Japanese bank, we invite staff members to provide students with an opportunity to obtain information on the hiring trends, unique corporate culture, manners, and working styles of local Japanese-affiliated companies.

3.internship
We have set up a contact point within the campus for the Consortium of Universities in Kumamoto,*1 which offers internship programs, provides information on publicly-offered internships,*2 and offers business etiquette training to students who plan to participate in an internship program.
*1 Internship of the Consortium of Universities in Kumamoto is a program in which students participate under an agreement among universities in Kumamoto Prefecture, local companies, and local public bodies.
*2 Publicly-offered internships is a program in which students gather information, apply for, and participate on their own.

学校已经建立起熊本地区大学联合会合点，提供有实习项目和公共实习相关信息，并为有意参加实习计划的学生提供商务礼仪培训。

Part-time Jobs
Information on part-time jobs is available at Kumamot University. Coope jobs are available to help students support themselves financially while studying in Japan, and make sure that working part-time does not interfere with your study. International students can work up to 28 hours per week. Since international students can not work without permission from the Immigration Bureau, you need to submit an official form to the International Student office at the University.

熊本大学提供有兼职信息。学生可以做Coope兼职，为自己在日本的学习提供经济支持。做兼职的时候确保不要影响到自己的学习。国际学生每周工作时间不能超过28个小时。国际学生持有移民局的许可证才能工作，你需要在熊本大学国际学生办公室提交官方申请表。
Graduate Employment
The Career Support Section at the university helps international students seek career opportunities in Japan. The types of job support provided by the office includes information on job hunting procedures and skills - how to self-analyze yourself, how to do job market research, how to write a resume and a "Statement of Purpose," how to go about visiting companies you are interested in, plus advices on how to take aptitude tests given by companies, and interview tips. The office is also available for international students to prepare for employment exams.
Some staff members previously worked for human resources departments in corporate business. Their experience helps students learn the hiring process from the employer's point of view, including what employers are looking for in prospective employees. They can give you detailed answers to your specific questions about the hiring process, so feel free to talk with them about any questions you might have.
