These scholarships were introduced in 2009 to encourage undergraduate students from the Faculty of Commerce at Victoria University of Wellington to participate in an exchange with an approved international exchange partner institution (partner institution list is attached).

The Scholarship was established in February 1997 in memory of Andrea Brander, Accommodation Office at Victoria University for six years until the time of her sudden death. The Andrea Brander Accommodation Scholarship was established to assist one student each year to afford suitable accommodation. History or background of award
This fund originates from donations made by staff, students, government departments and friends of Professor Quentin-Baxter who held a Chair in the Law Faculty at the time of his death. The Quentin-Baxter Memorial Scholarship Fund is managed by the University.
Purpose of award
The purpose of this fund is to provide monetary assistance to students undertaking or proposing to undertake study or research in the Faculty of Law at Victoria University and to recognise and encourage academic merit by the award of Scholarships and prizes.
The Fund also has discretionary monies for the relief of financial hardship
Selection criteria
* In even years (e.g. 2010) the scholarship will be open to all full time students of Māori descent who are currently enrolled in one or more second year law courses and who intend to complete an LLB at Victoria.
* The scholarship will normally be tenable, subject to satisfactory academic progress in the LLB, for up to three years and will be worth $2,000 per annum.
* There is no objection to it being held in conjunction with other scholarships and prizes. * In determining the suitability of applicants the selection panel will consider financial need, personal qualities and academic ability as well as the applicant's links with and likely contribution to the Māori community.
* In ODD years (e.g. 2011) the Scholarship is offered to Pasifika students.

History or background of award
AINSE - Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering
AINSE Ltd facilitates access to the national facilities at Lucas Heights by universities and other research institutions and provides a focus for cooperation in the nuclear scientific and engineering fields. AINSE arranges for the training of scientific research studentships in matters associated with nuclear science and engineering.
Purpose of award
The Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) is offering an all expenses paid scholarship to each of its member universities to enable a nominated student to attend AINSE's Winter School on Applications of Nuclear Techniques. The School will be held at the Lucas Heights Science and Technology Centre (ANSTO), about 30 km south of Sydney.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is open to all final year undergraduate students for whom knowledge of nuclear techniques of analysis would be of interest.
Such techniques have applications in areas ranging from agriculture to zoology, including:
* Physics, Chemistry, Biology,Environmental Science, Geography,Geology,Archaeology.
