航空商业管理硕士(RMIT) Aviation Management – Master of Business Administration (MBA) incorporating Graduate Diploma

--课程介绍 本航空工业管理MBA课程帮助学生在日益激烈的竞争和迅猛发展的市场。 -Program Description The MBA (Aviation Management) aims to integrate the skills required to analyse and implement creative solutions, enhance leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and to develop managers able to achieve results in an industry characterised by global competition, and driven by rapidly changing market force. The program may conveniently be divided into three phases, each of one semester duration (full-time study mode).
Phase One (Graduate Certificate) covering the theme of Business Skills Development consist of foundation courses (subjects) which develop the participants capabilities in essential business skills in accounting, finance, business practice, marketing and law. Site visits and interactions with practising managers in the aviation industry increase the networks of participants while enabling workplace applications of concepts studied.
Phase Two (Graduate Diploma) of the program addresses the theme of Management Skills Development and emphasises the personal development of the candidate on the premise that by understanding their own development process, participants are better able to facilitate the development of individuals who work for and with them. Phase Three (Masters) further develops the theme of Air Transport Industry Specialisation, while still including the development of personal managerial competencies. Candidates undertake an aviation research project which is jointly supervised by an rmit staff member and where possible an industry supervisor, to provide the participant with guidance that will naturally incorporate real work perspective.
The electives program takes into account develo
pment in the Aerospace sector, pursuing the objectives of giving candidates a better knowledge of their own sector while exposing them to the issues faced by complementary sectors.
-Teaching Methods Classes are taught in a combination of lecture / seminar, tutorial, workshop, practical and laboratory sessions. Assessment Assessment is ongoing throughout the semester and may include examinations, essay / reports, oral class presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.
-Mode and Duration Please Note: part-time study is not available to International Students. Masters: one and a half years full-time or three years part-time. This duration incorporates Graduate Certificate: half a year full-time or one year part-time; and Graduate Diploma: one year full-time or two years part-time. The program offers extensive flexibility for participants. Courses (subjects) are generally delivered on a 13 week basis and timetabled for late afternoon or early evening. Some courses (subjects) are designed to be taken as two or two and a half days intensive workshops scheduled in such a fashion as to not interfere with part-time students' work commitments. Some courses (subjects) are available in full distance learning format.
-Career Prospects The MBA (Aviation Management) is particularly relevant to people undergoing mid-career transfer to management from operations or engineering professional streams in the aviation industry, and to professional managers wishing to transfer into the aviation industry. The main pool of participants come from either airline or airport operations and maintenance, or from governmental regulatory authorities; who are expected in most cases to transfer into management positions.
