课程介绍Program Description
These programs aim to prepare graduates from multidisciplinary health and welfare backgrounds to a high level of academic achievement and scholarship in community health, gerontology, management for health professionals and mental health. Professionals from practice disciplines such as nursing, medicine, teaching, psychology, allied health, occupational therapy are eligible to apply.
The Graduate Diploma offers the following streams of study:
Community Health Gerontology Management for Health Care professionals Mental Health Please note: It is anticipated that each of the four streams under the Graduate Diploma, will be offered as individual Graduate Certificates in 2002. Teaching Methods Classes are taught in a combination of lecture / seminar, tutorial, workshop, practical and laboratory sessions.
Assessment: Assessment is ongoing throughout the semester and may include examinations, essay / reports, oral class presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.
Mode and Duration: Please Note: part-time study is not available to International Students.
Masters: 18 months full-time or three years part-time. This duration incorporates Graduate Diploma: one year full-time or two years part-time.

Entrance Requirements:
Applicants who have not successfully completed undergraduate studies in research as approved by the Program Director, may be required to undertake a research unit at an undergraduate level as approved by the Department.
Study Pathways:
Students who successfully comp
lete the Graduate Diploma in Health Science program with a Grade Point Average of "C" may proceed to the Master of Health Science Program.
Credit may be granted for courses (subjects) passed in other tertiary level programs.
Program Structure The Graduate Diploma requires the completion of 96 credit points; the Masters program requires the completion of an additional 48 credit points.
