奖学金: Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships Applications are now being accepted for the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholars Program for 2002 - 2003. These scholarships provide up to US$25,000 for graduate studies abroad. Interviews will be held in June 2001. Scholarships are competitively awarded based on academic excellence, the applicant's ability to function as a civilian ambassador, and the suitability of the proposed area of study for promoting the goals of Rotary.
International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) is funded by the Department of Education, Science & Training and is available to international students commencing a research degree program at Macquarie University in 2003. The scholarship is highly competitive and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and research capacity. The scholarship aims to attract top quality overseas postgraduate students to areas of research strength in higher education institutions and to support Australia's research effort.
Super innovation scholarships These scholarships will be offered to all commencing students with a UAI of 100 who have listed Macquarie as their first preference. The scholarships are valued at $2500 for each year of the student's program of study, subject to satisfactory progress.
Innovation scholarships Each year 30 of these scholarships, each valued at $2500, are available for students who apply for the first time for a place at Macquarie through UAC. A scholarship will be offered to all students with a UAI above 99.5 who have listed Macquarie as their first preference. The remainder will be distributed evenly across all undergraduate programs offered by Macquarie on the sole
basis of academic merit to students with a UAI of 95 and above. The scholarship is for the first year of a student's program of study only.
Merit-based equity scholarships These scholarships are offered to encourage participation of members of equity groups in higher education. The scholarships are given to students who belong to one of the following equity groups:
Sports scholarships The Sports Association awards up to 12 Sports Scholarships valued at $2500 each. The scholarships are available to Year 12 students who accept an offer of enrolment at Macquarie and current Macquarie students who have represented the University in sport. The Sports Scholarships are awarded on both academic and sporting achievements at school or university, and are given to those with a commitment to representing Macquarie in their chosen sport.
