Cost of living
You should need between 150 and 300€/month for renting a room, but if you choose to lodge in the Hall of Residence the costs are 150 €/month for Erasmus students, 180 €/month for the Erasmus Mundus and the other students.
If you take your meals at the university canteens you should spend around 140 €/month – including breakfast, lunch and dinner (2,00€ for voucher), otherwise if you take meals in restaurants the costs considerably increase.
If you use public transportation you can buy a monthly ticket that costs 30 €.
Depending on the courses and the required learning material (photocopies, technical books, dictionaries, etc.), you can spend 50 to 100 €.

Accommodation
With support of the Regional Education Authority (Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario -A.R.D.S.U.) the University of Basilicata gives you the chance to stay at the following solutions in the Halls of Residences located in Potenza:
· Residence of Macchia Romana, Via dell’Ateneo Lucano;
· Residence San Michele - Via Mazzini no. 51 (tel. +39 0971 274879);
· Via della Pineta no. 22 (tel. +39 0971 418244);
· three apartments in Via della Pineta no.6.
