Foundation
Students with an average of "good", "Grade B" or 75% or above in the Senior High 2 or an average of 70% in Senior High 3
Undergraduate
Students with a GPA of 3.5 or above in certain schools may be considered for entry onto year 1 of a Bachelor's degree on a case by case basis.
Successful completion of one year study at a recognised university in China
A-Levels or International Baccalaureate (please see course listing for specific grade and subject requirements)

Postgraduate
A relevant four year Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution with an overall GPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 or 70%, depending on the subject area. For some subjects a GPA of 2.4 (60%) may be accepted.
English Language Requirements
The scores below are for most programmes at the University of Winchester at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level. However, there are some exceptions where courses may request a higher score.
Not all students are required to provide an English Language test as part of their application. Usually students who require a Tier 4 Student Visa or come from a non-English speaking country are required to provide this. If you are unsure about if you will be required to take a test then please either visit the your country page or contact us.

What if I don't have the required IELTS/ English Language scores?
We have pre sessional English courses which can help to increase your English Language ability to the level required to join an undergraduate or postgraduate programme. They start in either June (the 12 week course is designed to increase your score by 1.0) or in August (the 6 week course which is designed to increase your score by 0.5).
In addition to those we have a one year foundation course, and a one year English Language course.
Pre-Sessional Entry Requirements
To enter the Pre-sessional Programme, an international student will have to have achieved an appropriate IELTS level (or equivalent), as shown in Table 1.
