STEP 2: SUBMIT I-20 APPLICATION AND VISA DOCUMENTS ONLINE
Once you have applied for admission, you will receive a TU Portal Account username and password. If you require a student visa, please log-in to the TU Portal and submit the following documents online so that we can process an I-20 for you as quickly as possible. If you prefer to submit your I-20 documents by mail, please use our paper I-20 application.

STEP 3: MAIL ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS TO TEMPLE ADMISSIONS
Please collect the following documents necessary to complete your application:
Official High School and/or University transcripts with English translations: Your application needs to include all official and original academic records from each secondary school and college or university you’ve attended.
Standardized Tests:
Freshman Applicants: All first-year applicants are required to submit the results of at least one of the following tests: SAT, ACT, TOEFL iBT ®, IELTS, or PTE.
Transfer Applicants: Transfer students should submit either the TOEFL iBT ®, IELTS, or PTE unless they meet one of the following exemptions:
- The applicant has successfully completed English composition at a US accredited
college or university.
- English is the applicant's native language.
The required English Proficiency for non-native speakers is as follows:
- TOEFL iBT® 79 minimum
- IELTS: 6.0
- PTE: 53
Those with language test scores below the required level are still encouraged to apply. Students who need further English language instruction may be eligible for Provisional or Conditional admissions offers including the Access Temple Program.
Recommendation Letters: At least one recommendation letter is required of all freshman applicants. It's best to select people such as teachers, counselors, and other academic officials who can describe your talents.
STEP 4: CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION
By logging-in to your TUportal account, you can check your application status.
International Student Scholarships
Academic scholarships are awarded to international students with strong academic records and SAT or ACT and TOEFL iBT ®, IELTS scores. SATs are not required for students from countries where the exam is not administered.
