　　3.Eligibility

　　Applicants not residing in Japan, who satisfy one of the following conditions:

　　A.Master's Program

　　(1) Persons who have successfully completed 16 years of education outside Japan or who are expected to do so by September 21, 2017

　　(2) Persons who have graduated from a university or college in Japan

　　(3) Persons who have successfully completed 3 years or more of education at a university or college outside Japan and obtained a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or who are expected to do so by September 21, 2017

　　(4) Persons who have successfully completed 15 years of education and obtained a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree outside Japan, or who are expected to do so by September 21, 2017 and are individually assessed and recognized by the relevant School at Tokyo Tech as having an outstanding academic record

　　(5) Persons whose countries do not require 16 years of education prior to completing an undergraduate-level education but who satisfy both of the conditions noted below and are individually assessed and recognized by the relevant School at Tokyo Tech as having academic ability equivalent to or higher than that of graduates of a Japanese university

　　(a)Persons who have spent at least one year as a research student or research fellow at a university or research institution in or outside Japan after successfully obtaining a bachelor's degree

　　(b) Persons who are at least 22 years old by September 21, 2017

　　3、申请资格

　　申请者不居住在日本，并且满足以下其中一种条件：

　　硕士专业：

　　(1) 在日本之外成功完成16年教育的学生，或者是在2017年9月21日之前将会完成16年教育;

　　(2) 从日本大学或者学院毕业的学生;

　　(3) 在日本之外的大学或者学院成功完成3年或者更长时间的教育，并且获得等同于学士学位的学历资格的学生;或者是在2017年9月21日之前将会达到该标准的学生;

　　(4) 在日本之外成功完成15年的教育，并且获得同等于学士学位的学历资格的学生;或者是在2017年9月21日之前将会达到该标准的学生;并且被东京工业大学相关院系评估公认为具备杰出学术成绩的学生;

　　(5) 来自不需要16年教育就可以进行大学水平教育的国家，但是同时满足以下条件;并且被东京工业大学相关院系评估公认为具备杰出学术成绩，等同于或者高于日本大学毕业生的学生：

　　a. 成功获得学士学位之后，在日本或者其他国家的大学或者研究机构作为一名研究学生或者研究员度过一年时间的学生;

　　b. 在2017年9月21日之前，至少年满22岁的学生。

　　4.Application Procedures

　　Prior to submitting the application materials to the Admissions Division, applicants must arrange for a Tokyo Tech faculty member to serve as an academic supervisor. Applicants are required to communicate directly with their intended academic supervisor at Tokyo Tech via email and provide a self-introductory statement and a letter of intent for their period of study at Tokyo Tech, and obtain the consent of the desired faculty member to serve in this capacity.

　　Applications will not be considered without the consent of a Tokyo Tech faculty member who will act as the applicant’s academic supervisor.

　　4、申请流程

　　在递交申请材料到招生办公室之前，申请者必须约定好作为学术导师的东京工业大学的教职员工。申请者需要通过电子邮件与自己意向的教职员工直接联系，提供自我介绍声明以及在东京工业大学学习的意向信，并且获得意向教职员工担任这一职务的许可。

　　没有获得教职员工担任申请者学术导师许可意向的申请将不会被考虑。

　　Application Requirements

　　Required Documents

　　1.Application Form (attached form, original, no photocopies)

　　2.Field of Study and Study Program [Research Proposal] (attached form)

　　3.Official Academic Transcripts from both undergraduate and graduate schools(originals or certified copies)

　　4.Certificate of Graduation or Expected Graduation from both undergraduate and graduate schools (originals or certified copies)

　　If the applicant graduated or is graduating early or has skipped a grade or year, an official document or letter issued by the school indicating as such

　　5.Summary of Thesis or Research (free format)

　　1) For applicants to the Master’s Program: an outline of your study or research in your undergraduate course.

　　2) For applicants to the Doctoral Program: a summary of your thesis or, if the applicant has not written a master’s thesis, a summary of the master’s program research

　　[Applicants for the Doctoral Program under eligibility condition B(3) are not required to submit this.]

　　6.English Proficiency Test Score Report (original, no photocopies)

　　Applicants are required to submit English proficiency test score reports from TOEFL-iBT, TOEFL-PBT, TOEIC, or the IELTS Academic Module taken on or after May 10, 2015. Score reports from the Institutional Testing Program of TOEFL and TOEIC (TOEFL-ITP, TOEIC-ITP, TOEIC-IP), TOEIC S&W or other proficiency tests not specifically listed above will not be accepted.

　　Applicants can request ETS or the British Council to send an official score report directly to Tokyo Tech, ensuring that it reaches the Admissions Division by the designated deadline. Tokyo Tech’s institutional code number for TOEFL is “0215.”

　　It is possible that native English speakers or students who have been awarded an undergraduate and/or graduate degree* from an institution where all instruction was in English may not be required to submit English proficiency test scores. Such applicants should consult their intended academic supervisor prior to submission of the application form to verify that they are exempt from this application requirement. Whether or not an applicant needs to provide an English proficiency test score report will be determined by the academic supervisor’s department and not automatically waived.

　　*Undergraduate and graduate degrees should be equivalent to the Japanese educational definitions of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

　　7.Evaluation Sheet with Recommendation (in a single document) from a supervisor or head of department or similar official at the last university attended to verify the potential of the applicant (attached form, original, no photocopies)

　　8.Consent of a Tokyo Tech Faculty Member

　　Attach a printout of email correspondence or any other proof to verify that a Tokyo Tech faculty member has consented to be the applicant’s academic supervisor during the intended period of study at Tokyo Tech.

　　9.Applicant’s Passport (one photocopy of the page(s) with the applicant’s name, nationality, date of birth, and photo)

　　*Japanese citizens must also submit one photocopy of the page(s) of his/her passport that shows visas obtained in the country where he/she lives.

　　10.Application Fee: ￥ 30,000 (JPY)

　　Applicants must pay the stated application fee by credit card within the application fee payment period.

　　Tokyo Tech CANNOT ACCEPT any payments made in CASH or by CHECK.

　　The application fee is non-refundable. However, in certain cases (see 1. and 2. below), the application fee may be refunded. In these cases, bank remittance or transaction handling fees should be borne by the applicant.

　　2. Application documents were not accepted due to incompleteness

　　Documents No.3 & 4: Original documents written in a language other than English or Japanese must be accompanied by a certified English or Japanese translation. Translations should be certified by a public institution or the issuing university.

　　2)博士专业申请者：论文摘要，或者如果申请者没有写硕士论文的话，请递交硕士专业研究的摘要;

　　[资格条件B (3)中的博士专业申请者不需要递交这些材料。]

　　6.英语语言能力考试成绩报告(原件，非复印件)

　　申请者需要递交英语语言能力考试成绩报告(在2014年12月1日或者之后参加的托福网考、托福纸考、托业考试、或者雅思学术考试)。不接受来自托福或者托业(TOEFL、TOEIC-IP)学院考试计划、TOEIC S&W、或者非上述列出的其他能力考试的成绩。

　　申请者可以要求ETS或者英国文化协会直接递交正式的考试成绩单到东京工业大学。东京工业大学的托福考试递交组织代码是0215。

　　英语母语学生，或者是从以英语为授课语言的学校获得本科以及/或者研究生学位的学生，可能不需要递交英语语言能力考试成绩。这样的申请者应该在递交申请表格之前，联系自己意向学术专业的导师，验证自己是否可以豁免这个申请条件。申请者是否需要提供英语语言能力考试成绩将哟学术导师的院系决定，不会自动豁免。

　　*本科和研究生学位应该等同于日本教育定义下的本科、硕士或者博士学位。

　　7.指导老师或者院系主任，或者最后所在大学的类似教职官员的评估表格和推荐(在一个文档)，来验证申请者的潜力(附表)(原件，非复印件)。

　　8.东京工业大学教职员工的许可批准。

　　附上一份通信电子邮件的打印件或者是其他证明，说明东京工业大学教职员工已经同意在申请者在东京工业大学学习期间，成为申请者的学术导师。

　　9.申请者护照(有申请者姓名、国籍身份、出生日期和照片页面的复印件)

　　* 日本公民也必须递交一份个人护照个人信息页面(显示在居住地获得签证)的复印件。

　　10.申请费用￥ 30,000 (JPY)

　　申请者必须使用信用卡，在申请费用支付时间内支付规定的申请费用。

　　支付时间：2017念啊3月15日-2017年3月8日

　　请附上网页上的支付确认页面的打印件，作为一份申请文件。

　　东京工业大学不接受任何现金和支票支付。

　　申请费用是不可退还的，但是在特定情况下(详见以下1.和2.)，申请费用可能会退还。在这样的情况下，银行汇款或者是交易处理费用应该由申请者承担。

　　1. 支付了申请费用，但是没有递交申请文件的申请者;

　　2. 申请文件因为不完整不被接受的申请者。

　　请注意：3 & 4项文件：原文件不是英语或者日语的话，必须附带认证的英语或者日语翻译。翻译应该直接由公共机构或者签发大学认证。

　　5. Admission Decision

　　The admission decision will be made based on the application, academic transcripts, related documents, and screening and interview processes including an Internet-based interview. Notification of admission results will be sent to all applicants in the middle of July.

　　5、录取决定

　　录取决定将会根据入学申请、学术成绩单、相关文件以及筛查和面试过程(包括网络面试)来做出。录取结果将会在7月中旬通知到所有申请者。
