LSBU ONCAMPUS Merit Scholarship
This year LSBU is offering scholarships in the form of a 25% fee reduction to LSBU ONCAMPUS students progressing to undergraduate courses. For those who meet the criteria there will be a 25% discount in the first year fee and a £1000 Nationality Discount for the 2nd and final year fees. ONCAMPUS students who do not meet the criteria will be eligible for the £1000 Nationality Discount on progression to an LSBU undergraduate course.
LSBU Graduate Loyalty Scheme
Discounts for LSBU alumni offer sizeable tuition fee reductions
We want all our graduates to have the best possible chance of maximising their career success. Our Graduate Loyalty Scheme reduces the burden of further tuition fees and encourages our undergraduates into further study. Eligible students and alumni receive a discount on their postgraduate tuition fees when they enrol on one of our postgraduate courses starting this year.
Applying for the Graduate Loyalty Scheme only takes thirty seconds.
The scheme for 2017/18 entry offers:
10% discount – all LSBU undergraduate students who graduated from their undergraduate programme in and since summer 2013 are automatically eligible for a 10% discount off a postgraduate taught course at LSBU
10% discount – all LSBU taught postgraduate students who have graduated since summer 2013 and are progressing on to an MPhil or PhD at this University in 2017/18 (the discount applies to the fees charged for enrolment in the 2017/18 session only). This policy was introduced for the 2016/17 academic session.
10% discount for Erasmus and Study Abroad students – students who have been part of the inbound LSBU Erasmus and Study Abroad programmes since 2013, and who have been awarded their bachelor's degree by their home institution since summer 2014, are eligible for a 10% discount off a postgraduate taught course at LSBU
25% discount – for any LSBU student who is currently studying an undergraduate course in 2016/17 who graduates with a 2:1 or First and progresses onto postgraduate study at this university in 2017/18. This cannot be combined with the 10% discount
25% discount – for any LSBU student who has gained a Distinction or Merit in their taught postgraduate programme in 2016/17 and is progressing directly onto an MPhil or PhD at this University in 2017/18 (the discount applies to the fees charged for enrolment in the 2017/18 session only). This cannot be combined with the 10% discount
a guaranteed course place – provided the entry criteria is met we guarantee an offer of a place. Some courses may have additional entry requirements, such as an interview or portfolio presentation. These must also be met before a place can be offered.
5% early payment discount – applied to tuition fees if they are paid in full at your face-to-face enrolment.

Eligibility exceptions
Students already receiving the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship or one of LSBU’s other postgraduate scholarships are not eligible to apply for this scholarship as well.There are some circumstances where Home, EU and Overseas students will not be eligible for a tuition fee discount. The 25% Graduate Loyalty Scheme discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or scholarships, with the exception of the 5% early payment discount.

School Awards for International Students
We are delighted to offer School Awards to international applicants with outstanding academic profile.values the academic contribution that international students bring to the University. Through the School Awards for International Students, LSBU aims to recognise and reward one exceptional international applicant within each School with a full scholarship, enabling the brightest candidates to take the next step in their academic careers at the University.The School Awards will be offered to seven outstanding students who meet the below criteria and are pursuing postgraduate taught programmes in each of our seven Schools. They will take the form of a full fee waiver on the first year’s tuition fees.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a School Award, you must:
Hold a valid unconditional and current offer of a place for a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme beginning in September 2017.Be classified as an Overseas Student for fee paying purposes. The programme must be a minimum of one year in duration and taught on campus at LSBU.Have achieved the Scholarship's academic pre-requisites in the qualification being considered for entry, according to the Appendix in the Terms and Conditions (PDF File 80 KB).All decisions are made by the scholarship panel and are final.
Closing date
Please complete and submit your LSBU application online by Friday 30 June 2017 (for September 2017 entry) providing all required documents to be considered for this Award.
Additional information
The School Awards for International Students are only available to new applicants for an LSBU postgraduate taught degree programme who have met the above criteria. Current students will not be eligible. Students who do not meet the academic criteria for this scholarship may be eligible for other LSBU scholarships. The School Awards will only be available for the first year of the course and for the September 2017 intake only. Should a School award for a particular School(s) not be awarded in September 2017, the Award(s) will be available for the January 2018 intake should there be courses available.

For the 2017/18 academic year there are three scholarships worth £4,000 towards fees for EU or International students on LSBU's MSc Food Safety and Control.

From donations received by LSBU alumnus Kevin Herriott, we are now offering the Kevin Herriott Scholarship for our MSc Sustainable Energy Systems programme.
For the 2017/18 academic year there is one scholarship worth £4,000 towards fees for EU or International students.

Eligibility
The Scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit, evidence of an applicants' commitment to their future career and their previous practical or academic achievements. Students will be selected by the scholarship panel whose decision is final. No appeals will be accepted.
Scholarship applications will only be accepted from EU or international students with the following:
an LSBU offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on MSc Sustainable Energy Systems
proof of academic excellence. Qualifications obtained outside the UK will be assessed for equivalency using NARIC
evidence of having commitment to their future career and previous practical or academic achievement
How to apply
You can apply online via email after you firmly accept your unconditional or conditional offer to study at LSBU. We recommend you apply for your place at LSBU as soon as possible to ensure you have been made an offer and have time to complete your scholarship application by the deadline of Friday 30 June 2017.
To submit your application, complete the application form (PDF File 120 KB) and send via email to pgscholarships@lsbu.ac.uk along with scans of your university transcripts and certificates. Your application will not be considered without these.
Selection process
All applications must be received by the deadline date. Scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit and evidence of applicants' commitment to their future career and their previous practical or academic achievement. Selection is made by a scholarship panel. Their decision is final and no appeals will be accepted.
Scholarship payment
Scholarships will be given in the form of a fees reduction at enrolment to LSBU, provided that students produce the official certificate.
