TU Wien places great emphasis on the inclusion of students in research programmes (research-based teaching), considering this an important criterion encouraging new generations of scientists.
TU Wien offers a broad range of studies from "A" like Acturial Theory to "T" like Technical Physics. Also Doctoral Programmes and Secondary School Teacher Accreditation are offered.

1.Faculty of Architecture and Planning
With a currently active total of approximately 7.400 students, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning is the largest of eight faculties at the TU Wien. Together with the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, it is among the oldest architecture schools in Austria.
We distinguish ourselves in Austria through the unique combination of architecture and regional planning in one common faculty. We guarantee education that is tailored to the demands of professional practice and research that meets the highest standards of academic scholarship.

2.Faculty of Electrical Engineering and IT
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the TU Wien is facing up to developments that will dominate the world in the 21st century. These developments are significantly driven by technological advances explored and developed by our faculty. In addition to the worldwide progressive networking of people and technical systems, these technologies allow for unlimited spatial and temporal access to information and increased technological support in all areas of life and industrial production, as well as secure and sustainable energy supply and distribution. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is ready to make its contribution to technical and scientific knowledge in order to fully address society’s challenges. Promoting technical progress in the faculty’s core topics for the benefit of society is just as fundamental for us as our commitment to responsibly conveying technical knowledge and work methods.
2、电机工程与信息技术学院

3.Faculty of Informatics
Informatics and business informatics are young and innovative disciplines which play a central role in our modern information society. The application of these disciplines, information and communication technologies (ICT), is gradually penetrating into all areas of life and evolving at a rapid pace. The development and use of ICT is affecting not just business and administration but the personal lives of a growing number of people.
The key role of informatics calls for intensive efforts in research and teaching. The Faculty of Informatics strives to play an active role in national and international research. Its activities are guided by the principles of academic excellence, the networking of research and teaching, and by a sense of awareness for the social responsibility it has.
The major fields of studies are computer science and business informatics, which are the biggest and fourth biggest courses of study, respectively, at Vienna University of Technology. The five main research areas are Distributed and Parallel Systems, Logic and Computation, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, and Media Informatics and Visual Computing.
3、信息学院
信息学和商务信息学作为年轻的创新学科，在我们的现代信息社会中扮演着中心角色。信息和通信技术等学科的应用已逐渐渗透到生活的方方面面，并且在迅速地发展。信息和通信技术的发展和使用影响的不仅是商业和管理，也影响了越来越多人的生活。
信息学的这个核心角色要求我们对其科研和教学做出更大投入。为此，信息学院努力积极参与国内外的信息研究。学院活动的指导原则是学术优秀、教研结合和社会责任感。
信息学院的主要研究领域是计算机科学和商务信息学，它们分别是维也纳技术大学最大和第四大的学科。学院的五大研究领域分别是分布并行系统、逻辑与计算、商业信息学、计算机工程和媒体信息学与可视计算。
4.Faculty of Technical Chemistry
The history of the Faculty of Technical Chemistry reaches back to the founding years of the Vienna University of Technology. Although the Faculty was established recently in 2004, chemical research institutes were in the foundig of the university 1815 included.The Faculty emphasizes networked interdisziplinary research and research-led teaching.
4、工艺化学学院
工艺化学学院的历史可追溯到维也纳技术大学成立的时候。虽然学院新建于2004年，但是化学研究所在1815年建校的时候就已存在。工艺化学学院强调跨学科研究和研究导向教学。
