　　1.Faculty of Commerce

　　The Commerce Faculty is the largest of all the faculties in the University of Cape Town and continues to expand the programmes it offers its students. Commerce degree programmes prepare students for the personnel needs of the fast-growing world of financial service industries and prepare them for participation in the global economy. The Commerce Faculty receives strong support from international agencies, and remains committed to engagement with the African continent.

　　The Faculty offers two undergraduate degrees: a four-year Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) and a three-year Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). Both of these degree programmes are divided into a variety of streams to cater both for the interests of our students, and the employment needs of the country.

　　1、商学院

　　2.Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment

　　At the heart of our vision is the desire to foster strong analytical skills, practical ingenuity and creativity, good communication and high ethical standards and professionalism, as well as the ability to be lifelong learners. One of the core aspects of our vision as a faculty is to develop outstanding graduates and scholars, who contribute to society and address socioeconomic challenges through their work. Our UCT graduate engineers and professionals of the built environment are ideally equipped to rise to the complex challenges and global problems of the 21st century.

　　3. Faculty of Health Sciences

　　We offer a variety of educational, training and academic career options within the context of health care and research - from clinical and public health to health and rehabilitation sciences. We are a Faculty of choice for those seeking world-class training - owing to our strong reputation for having trained some of the best health practitioners and scientists globally, and for our Clinical achievements and cutting-edge research.

　　In 2012 we had two reasons to celebrate: our centenary as the first medical school in sub-Saharan Africa, and our rating among the top 50 health sciences faculties worldwide (by Times Higher Education) - a first for any university in Africa and the developing world.

　　The Faculty has 13 academic departments, over twenty multi-disciplinary research groupings, and more than 4000 students. Our programmes are embedded in four main themes, namely undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical services and research.

　　3、健康科学学院

　　4.Faculty of Humanities

　　With close to 6000 students, the Faculty of Humanities is the second largest faculty at the University of Cape Town. 75% of our student population is at undergraduate level. The Faculty comprises 16 vibrant academic departments located in three main clusters: the Arts, the Social Sciences and the Performing and Creative Arts. Common to all is a focus on the human condition, in all its dimensions.

　　With four SARChI Research Chairs, 2 Mellon Research Chairs as well as 86 new and renewed NRF-rated researchers, UCT Faculty of Humanities enjoys a strong tradition in interdisciplinary research and teaching. Our academics equip students with skills that are crucial for engaging with the material and non-material aspects of being human. We produce exceptional graduates who possess imagination, insight, mental agility and analytical skills. We prepare young people for a variety of career paths in the public and private sectors, in the media space, in the NGO sector and in research and academia.

　　UCT attracts excellent students from diverse backgrounds and this makes for a rich learning environment; our graduates are highly sought after.

　　Student initiatives like the Social Justice Seminars and LAWCO are recognised as excellent and the student leadership (both the Law Student Council and the Black Law Student Forum) has been very strong; Orientation week in 2010 was voted outstanding.

　　Unique to our LLB is 60 hours of community service and so our students graduate with a sense of their role in society.

　　5、法学院

　　The Faculty prides itself on its strong teaching programmes, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and on the strength of its research enterprise. With well developed international links with researchers across the world, the Faculty is a major contributor to cutting-edge, globally relevant research. Our goal is to be internationally recognised as a leading, research-intensive Faculty and the top Science Faculty on the African continent, producing research that is globally competitive and locally relevant.

　　At the same time, we strive to be a major contributor to educating scientists of the future through our many and varied undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Our degrees are internationally recognised, thus ensuring that graduates are globally mobile. The majority of our staff have strong international research profiles and have active research programmes covering a wide range of science disciplines that involve collaborations with leading researchers across the world.
