As females usually have to work fulltime, males should equally undertake household tasks such as cleaning work or attending children. To what extent you agree or disagree?
Truly, it is common for women to assume dual responsibilities from both work and home in many countries. The reason for this trend is that women can earn more or less allowance for their family without regard how much money they make at work. Nevertheless, the argument mentioned above does not vindicate that men should share household chores with women at home because we cannot disregard the difference in intensity between men’s and women’s work. As men work more strenuously than women at work in order to bring home the bacon, it is not legitimate that men are obliged to undertake equal housework after working hours.
In my view, it is their understanding of wives’ housework, their allowance of wives’ health and the promotion of husband-and-wife relationship that justify the requirement for husbands to equally undertake household chores. On the one hand, it indicates their appreciation and recognition of females’ great efforts in keeping a tidy home and looking after children. On the other hand, with husbands’ assistance in household chores, women can have more time for rest or relaxation, which is beneficial to keeping them in good health.
