Independent Writing:
It is as important for older people to study or learn new things as it is for younger people.
As people age, they tend to become more and more set in their ways. When we are young it is easy to revise our beliefs and adopt new perspectives, but over time, our thinking slowly becomes rigid. But just because this phenomenon is the norm doesn't mean that it's ideal. There are some advantages to more rigid thinking, but I think it's a good idea for old people to continue acquiring new knowledge.

I think the most effective way to find a job is though social networks. Sometimes the best job positions are not posted on the internet or in newspapers. 对话1：学生服务场景
一位学生关于environment project来咨询老师的一些建议，学生希望能够搞得大一些，能够connect with the conference，邀请整个committee来，但是老师说committee可能不会喜欢，然后学生依然坚持，说中间有些内容可能他们还是会喜欢的，然后举了一个例子。接下来提到活动的另外一些问题，比如场地大小不够，宣传的时间不够等。最后老师建议还是专注local problem比较好。
讲座1：自然科学类
教授开头引入，提到下学期将要开这门课，所以提前为大家讲解一些内容。提到很多的例子，一个例子说某种鸟的爪子很小，但是站在树枝上的时候可以很sticky，因为脚上长了一些hairline什么的。有一个例子提到一种beetle，生活在burned tree里面，因为那里没有predator，如果是活的树木的话，则存活不了，因为tree 会release some chemical to resist。
讲座2：社会科学类
本文讲的是咖啡引进欧洲的历史，咖啡非欧洲原产，在大约1600年左右开始盛行，盛行的原因有三个。
