一、托福写作开头段写作方法
1. 采用统计数字引出话题，把问题呈现在读者面前；
2. 提出有争议性的问题，激发读者兴趣，使其积极参与讨论；
3. 以新颖的观点，吸引读者注意力；
4. 呈现该话题正反方的观点；
5. 引用名人名言、谚语等作为文章的开头；
6. 对将要讨论的话题进行定义。
其次，要善于运用复合句，从而使引言段简洁明了，开宗明义。下面我们将探讨雅思与新托福各种题材和体裁文章引言段的写作方法。
二、托福独立写作评分标准
托福独立写作5分作文评分标准
此分数的文章大体有以下特点：有效地针对话题完成任务；能充分展开，结构清晰，使用适当的解释，例证和/或细节；体现出一致、递进、连贯的特点；语言熟练，能使用不同的句法、合适的措辞和习语，允许出现次要的词汇或语法错误。
托福独立写作4分作文评分标准
此分数的文章大体有一下的特点：很好地针对话题完成任务，但是一些论点没有充分展开；总体上能够充分展开，结构清晰，使用适当的解释、例证和/或细节体现出一致、递进、连贯的特点。但是存在偶尔没必要的重复、离题或是不清楚的联系；语言熟练，能使用出不同的句法和词汇。但是在结构、词汇、或是习惯用法上存在明显的次要错误，尽管这些错误并不影响意思的表达。
托福独立写作3分作文评分标准
此分数的文章有以下问题：针对话题完成任务时所用的解释、例证和/或细节没有充分展开；体现一致、递进、连贯的特点，但是偶尔出现观点的联系不清；造句和选词的不熟悉使得文章缺乏清晰度，并且偶尔使意思含混不清；句式结构和词汇使用准确但是存在局限性。
托福独立写作2分作文评分标准
此分数的文章有以下不足：针对话题完成任务时论点展开有限；结构不太清晰或论点之间的联系不充分；支持或是阐述论点时所使用的解释、例证和/和细节不合适或不充分；存在明显的选词和/或拼写错误；句子结构和/或用法上存在大量的错误。
托福独立写作1分作文评分标准
此得分的作文存在以下严重缺陷：文章严重缺乏组织和展开；细节很少，或根本没有、或不相关、或是完成任务是存在很大的问题；句子结构或用法存在严重又频繁的错误。
托福独立写作0分作文评分标准
仅仅是从题目中抄句子，拒绝针对话题写作，或所写和话题根本无关，或用其他语言写作，或文中只包括无意义的键盘符号，或是什么也不写。

（1） 副词修饰全句

修饰全句常用的副词有：
obviously / undoubtedly
apparently / fortunately
clearly / unfortunately
incredibly / luckily
unluckily / surprisingly
frighteningly
这些副词大多数表示说话人对全句的看法，在意思上相等与 “It is ... 形容词that ...” 。
举个例子：
Obviously， he is nervous about the test. =It is obvious that he is nervous about the test.
Unfortunately， he tripped over and fell in the mud. =It is unfortunate that he tripped over and fell in the mud.
（2） 强调副词
Hurriedly， the man drew me a scratch map to show me the direction.
Dangerously， the drunkard sped down the street.

善用提问法写出托福独立写作好开头
古语云：“有其始者，则已之也难”。托福独立写作亦是如此，写好开头段是冲刺高分的第一步。
ETS官方发布的托福独立写作满分标准第一条中就明确指出：“满分文章必须有效地针对给定话题进行论述(effectively addresses the topic and task)”。结合西方的写作习惯，开头段的构成要素和要完成的基本任务也非常清晰，即需要考生表达观点，树立统领全文的思想主题。
因此常见的开头方式有以下两种：一是开门见山型，即开头段只有1-2句话，清晰、简练地针对给定话题表达观点和态度;二是背景概述型，即开头段中先用1-2句话的篇幅结合给定话题提出背景，对其成因、现象或日常观察等进行描述，再亮明观点。
而托福老师在多年的教学过程中发现，对于大多数考生来说，这两种开头方式都不实用。
首先开门见山型的开头只适合语言功底扎实，且在正文段中有话可说、能够充分展开论证的考生。对于他们来说，开头简洁有力，就可以把大量的篇幅留给正文段，便于取悦考官，取得高分。但对于大多数考生来说，充分论证、有理有据谈何容易，只写一句话往往是简陋不堪、含混不清，且减少了文章字数。
而背景概述型开头要求既要贴合题目，又要新颖独特、不落俗套。这就需要考生对机经真题烂熟于胸，并在考场上花费大量时间构思，否则就会沦为千篇一律的恶俗开头，导致低分。文韬老师在第一次写作课前收到的学生习作中有八成左右都会用“Today with the development of science and technology”做为开头，甚至很多考生在处理跟科技类题材毫不沾边的话题时，也会使用这个“标准”开头。这种文章极易使考官厌倦，从而降低主观评价、拉低整体分数。
在此强烈建议各位时间紧、任务重、且语言运用尚未达到炉火纯青程度的考生，善用提问法、写出好开头。
一、提问法开头的基本框架
提问法开头包括：针对给定话题的提问(1-2句话);表达自己的观点和态度(1-2句话)。例如在处理以下这道关于管理零花钱与培养责任感的机经真题时，可以这样开头：
题目：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In order to become financially responsible adults, children should manage their own money at young age。
