明礼诚信是个人立身处世的标准，是法律的基础。明礼，即懂得礼仪，也就是讲文明礼貌。礼仪，是一个国家和民族为了维系社会生产方式和社会生活而约定俗成的最基本的行为规范，是一个国家和民族道德风貌和社会进步的反映。每个人是否具有良好的礼仪风范，对个人而言是一种外在的美，表现为一个人是否具有高雅的气质;对一个民族而言，他是构成整个民族风貌的不可缺少的组成部分。在现代社会生活中，文明礼貌不仅给社会、他人带来愉快和谐，也能创造充满爱心的环境，给自己带来快乐、带来温馨。
