In China, it is common that 4or6 students share one room. Some owns a bathroom but some share a bathroom with others in a floor. The situation is due to China 's large population. But in the UK, most students would like to live alone. A room with a kitchen is named studio Room? a room held an independent bathroom named en suite Room? the structure that 4-8 students shared a kitchen is called cluster Flat? It seldom finds one room shared by several people in the UK.
在中国，大学宿舍一般都是4人或6人共享一间寝室，有的房间内拥有独立的卫生间，而有的则是每一层的学生共享一个公共卫生间。这与中国人口因素有很大关系。而在英国，大部分的大学生公寓都是单人间，部分室内拥有厨房，称为Studio Room;而另外一种只是拥有独立的卫生间和浴室称为Ensuite Room，多为4-8名甚至更多学生共享一个厨房，这被称作Cluster Flat或Flat，而我们常见的多人共享一间寝室(Shared Room)较少见。

Deluxe Studio is suitable for a couple to live. Studio is a common house type, from 12-13 square meters, which comes complete with bed, desk, wardrobe, bathroom, kitchen etc. However, studio kitchen is equipped with microwave, kitchenware, a basin, is not a usual kitchen but a cooking area connected with bedroom. For this reason, it should be noticed that Chinese cooking fumes filled the air in the room.
Early studio offered a single bed. But in recent years, Queen bed (or double bed, bed) is offered to cater to a pair of lovers or a couple. Nevertheless some studio offers two single beds. So to be sure to ask before booking.
In the terms of price, studio is comparably most expensive one. From 2009 to 2010 the average rents reached 132.31 pounds per week.

没有非常标准的对应中文翻译，一般称为单人套房或单间公寓，但事实上有的deluxe Studio(大型的单人套房)可以供两人(通常是夫妻)一同居住。Studio是一种常见的房型，大小从12平方米到30平方米不等，房间会提供床、书桌、衣柜、卫生间、浴室、厨房等设施。需要注意的是，Studio中的厨房事实上不是真正意义上的封闭式厨房(kitchen)，而是一个与卧室连通的烹饪区域(cooking area)，通常可以放置微波炉、厨具、水池等，如果做中国菜可能会弄得满屋子全是油烟。早期开发的Studio房型里提供的床都是单人床，近年来部分学生公寓开发商为了方便情侣和夫妻共同居住，开始提供双人床(queen bed, or double bed, or 3/4 size bed)。也有的Studio可能提供的是两张单人床，因此在预订的时候一定要仔细确认。

Compared with Studio, En suite is one without kitchen, hence less expensive than Studio. From 2009 to 2010, the average rent was 104.50 pounds per week in the UK. Amenities like bed, desk, wardrobe, bathroom are well equipped.
Generally Cluster flat is made up with 4-8 En suit rooms, which share a kitchen.

Ensuite Room也没有非常准确的中文。其实它与Studio只有一个差别，就是没有厨房设施。同样，一个Ensuite里面也会提供床、书桌、衣柜、卫生间、浴室等设施。
由于没有厨房，因此Ensuite Room的价格要比Studio便宜一点，09-10年全英Ensuite Room的平均租金为104.50英镑每周。
通常住在Ensuite Room中的学生与其他4-8名学生共享一个公共的厨房，这一个整体就叫做Cluster Flat(见下文)。

A Cluster named Flat for short consists of several En suite rooms. Through a public door into a Cluster, there are several rooms separately with en suites. A kitchen and living room are shared together in a Cluster, designed to make living with friends really simple. Some landlords specially assist group booking, then it will be convenient to choose room mates, in order to avoid clash that inevitably may happen among neighbors.

多个Ensuite Room合在一起就称为Cluster Flat，或简称为Flat。一个Cluster Flat通常有一个公共的门，进入以后有多个房间，每间房各有一个门，每个房间都是一个Ensuite，多名学生共享一个厨房和客厅。
这样的Flat满足了希望和朋友一起住的学生的需求。有很多学生公寓都提供团体预订，这样便可以选择自己的室友，或者选择和文化差异不大的学生住在一个Cluster里面，避免很多冲突的发生。

If there is only one room in a flat, that's called One Bedroom Flat. Telling from Studio, one-bedroom-flat kitchen is separated from bedroom by a wall, therefore there are no worries to cook Chinese meals. But its rents are higher than Studios?

单一卧室公寓。如果一个flat里面只有一个room，那么就被称为One Bedroom Flat，它与Studio的差别为它的厨房与卧室是有墙分开了的。因此不会担心做饭的油烟影响到卧室。
其价格一般会比Studio更高一点。

As its name tells, there are two bedrooms in a two-bedroom flat. A kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared. If two friends who want to live together and independently, two-bedroom-flat is the best choice.

双卧室公寓。顾名思义若一个flat里面有两个room，那么就被称为Two Bedroom Flat。两人各自拥有独立的卧室，共享厨房、客厅和卫浴。如果你是两个朋友想住在一起又希望各自有私人空间，那么这种就是最完美的房型了。

Twin Room/Shared Room
Twin Room/Shared Room
Two students share one room, called Twin Room/Shared Room. If you do not mind less privacy, this type of room could be taken into account.
Generally Twin Room is the cheapest among all types.
