Alberta School of Business at the University of Alberta offers master’s in financial management, business administration, executive business administration, and accounting. Its master’s in financial management prove to be a solid foundation for a career in business, which is why the school has been placed in the 2018 edition of the QS Business Master’s Ranking.The financial management degree is designed for those who are already working in finance or accounting, and want to take the next step to financial management – those already with a CFA or professional accounting qualification would be well suited. Courses within the degree range from risk management to an integrative capstone course in strategic financial management. There is also the opportunity to study in Shenzhen, or Shanghai, in China.
Course requirements include an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 80 per cent or higher in the last two years of study, English language proficiency, and ideally, five or more years of professional experience in a financial management role.
