我国民间过端午节是较为隆重的，庆祝的活动也是各种各样，比较普遍的活动有以下种种形式：赛龙舟、吃粽子、佩香囊、插菖蒲等。
今天就是一年一度的端午节。爸爸、妈妈早早起床，出去买回很多菜。还有我不认识的“长草”，我问爸爸这是什么草，爸爸说：“这是菖蒲”。爸爸把菖蒲做成宝剑，贴在门眉上，左右各一把。妈妈也调好了雄黄酒往墙角、衣柜边上喷洒，说：“可杀菌防病呢！”
中午时候，妈妈烧好丰盛的一桌菜；有鸡、有鸭、有肉、还有棕子和食饼筒等等，可香啦！在吃饭的时候爸爸和妈妈给我讲端午节由来的故事：在很早以前有位忧国忧民的诗人名叫屈原投汨罗江之后，人们就包棕子纪念他。我听得入了迷，吃得也津津有味。
今年的端午节过得真开心啊！
