One of the first changes was that other forms of energy have taken the place of human power. Along with this came the increased use of machines to manufac- ture products in less time..

1.合理安排复习时间
(1)基础复习阶段
在这个阶段首先要对PETS三级考试(口试+笔试)做全面地了解、熟悉新题型，做到心中有数，不盲目、不被动。了解过后，主要进行教材学习，每天集中一段时间对PETS三级教材进行系统学习。教材上的文章要多读多背，以培养英语语感、扩充词汇量。这一阶段切忌孤立背诵单词，要结合阅读文章及短文背诵，要将词汇融合到文章中进行理解记忆。教材每单元后面的习题要认真对待，习题是针对最新大纲进行编写，此阶段可进行少量练习，巩固所学内容。记住，教材是这一阶段的重点。打好基础，才能更好地进行下一阶段的复习。
(2)强化提高阶段
在这个阶段主要学习内容包括：各专项各个击破。
听力部分，要系统地进行练习，熟悉听力材料的语链、语速、语言清晰程度以及说话人的语言表达特点，所以考生要从各个方面着手，加强训练、以提高听力水平。
阅读部分，在此阶段，考生要掌握相应的阅读技能，学会获取文章信息的有效方法，提高阅读能力。对此部分新增加的新题型补全文章和选词填空，要有针对性地进行练习。
写作部分，要长期背诵英语范文，每周坚持进行作文练习，养成良好的写作习惯(包括词数规定、字体)，矫正写作中出现的语法错误。根据文章写作文这一题型在其他考试中也不多见，所以更应该进行强化练习，避免在不熟悉的题型上失分。
口试部分，此时，要掌握大量的口试素材，熟悉历年的口试真题，每天都进行口语练习，找搭档或是自己对话。
(3)考前冲刺阶段
做一个考前倒计时表格，把计划细化到每一天。在这个阶段每天平均学习英语2个小时，主要学习内容包括：单词记忆、真题训练、作文练习、模拟题训练。单词持续记忆，熟练掌握单词各种含义，彻底扫除单词障碍;虽然改了新题型，但题目的难度系数跟以前还是相当的，所以还是要将近几年的真题整体做一遍，保持题感;坚持分析真题，精做模拟题，提高做题速度，把握好时间分配，分析错题原因：此时，口试练习最好找一个也将进行考试的搭档，模拟真实考场环境，避免考试时慌乱、紧张。这一阶段切忌不做主观题。写出精美的文章光靠背诵还是不够的。同时，无论是做真题还是做模拟题，都要严格按照时间来操作。考生也可根据自己的实际水平和做题效率合理安排答题顺序和每一道题的答题时间。
2.提高应试能力
(1)单词的背诵
单词就是要平时多途径地积累。大纲规定的词汇是基础，这一部分词汇是必须得记住的，平时可以用卡片或小手册强化记忆，复习就有针对性了，也省时间。
(2)语法知识的学习
