一、拼写错误
由于时间紧张，考生在写作中会出现许多拼写错误而不自知，但这样的错误却往往会影响阅卷老师对整篇作文的印象分，例如下面这句就出自考生的作文练习中：
Obvisaly, a varity of complex reasons for this phenomenen can be listed as follow.
在本句中共有14个单词，其中有3个单词出现拼写错误，有一个单词出现单复数错误——句首Obvisaly应改为Obviously，varity应改为variety，phenomenen应改为phenomenon，follow应用复数形式follows。
二、主谓不一致
这是中国考生写英文作文时最常犯的错误之一，因为中文没有人称和数的变化，所以在写英文时，主谓一致很容易被考生忽略。如考生练习作文：
Someone suppose that studying in all life.
这个句子中，有两个错误，首先是主句主谓不一致，主语为第三人称单数，则suppose应该用第三人称单数形式supposes; 第二个错误是that引导的宾语从句应该是一个句子，而本句中that后面是一个分词短语，在语法上是错误的。
三、词性错误
有些考生在练习写作时总是会出现词性使用错误的情况，如该用名词时用了动词、该用形容词时用了名词等，如下面考生所写句子：
Some people feel success, some people feel failure and other people feel guilt.
这句中，feel后面应该用形容词，而考生全部都用成了名词，导致整个句子中出现三处词性错误。
四、不断句错误
很多考生在写英文文章时，习惯用逗号连接两个独立的句子，这在英文中是较严重的语法错误，即不断句错误，考生应注意要么用连词连接两个独立句，要么用句号把两句话断开，例如考生所写句子：
We also could do something to help others, it could make our life more value.
这个句子中出现了两个错误，最明显的就是不断句错误——逗号前后为两个独立的句子却没有用连词连接，正确的写法是要么在逗号后面加上and，要么逗号改为句号，第二个句子的首字母大写。第二个错误是词性错误，value为名词，而此处应有形容词形式valuable.

3、People may have different opinions on... 人们对……可能会有不同的见解。(may委婉用法)
4、There are different opinions among people as to... 关于……人们的观点大不相同。(as to用法较高级)
5、Different people hold different attitudes toward (failure). 对(失败)人们的态度各不相同。(hold，亮点词)
三、得出最终结论的万能模板：
1、Taking all these factors into consideration, we naturally come to the conclusion that... 把所有这些因素加以考虑，我们自然会得出结论……("take sth into consideration"为固定搭配)
2、Taking into account all these factors, we may reasonably come to the conclusion that... 考虑所有这些因素，我们可能会得出合理的结论……("Take into account sth"再次提升了一个层次")
3、Hence/Therefore, we'd better come to the conclusion that... 因此，自然我们得出以下结论。。。(Hence,高级用法;come to the conlusion that万能总结句型;had better,水到渠成的流畅感...

看这个长度就已然鹤立鸡群。其实，也是一个蛮简单也好记的模板。
2、Attitudes towards (drugs) vary from person to person. 人们对待吸毒的态度因人而异。
乍一看，跟上句的开头神似，其实就是省略掉了"people's"，不仅清爽而且好像高端了一些。
3、People may have different opinions on... 人们对……可能会有不同的见解。
又是一个婉转的句子，展示其客观性。
4、There are different opinions among people as to... 关于……人们的观点大不相同。
"different"虽拉低了水准，但"as to"又拯救了回来。
5、Different people hold different attitudes toward (failure). 对(失败)人们的态度各不相同。
这句话貌似亮点不多，顶多一个"hold"，但也是安全牌，容易理解。
三、得出最终结论的万能模板：
1、Taking all these factors into consideration, we naturally come to the conclusion that... 把所有这些因素加以考虑，我们自然会得出结论……
很完全的答法，"take sth into consideration"短语的应用，加分。

在四六级作文中，词汇量不足是影响成绩的一个重要因。很多考生由于基本词汇量极为有限，很难表达清楚自己的观点;而有部分考生，有一定的词汇量，却依然无法过写作“词汇关”，主要有以下几大问题：
1.拼写错误
正确的词形是表达语言的基础，在书面表达中，“拼写”是语言准确性的首要体现。英语是拼音文字，是由若干字母按一定的顺序排列而成的，多一个字母或少一个字母甚或是把字母顺序写颠倒了就会出错或写成别的单词。在四六级作文中，很多考生会将以下单词拼错：如把though写成through;把mental写成metal;把colleague写成 college;把explanation误拼成 explaination等。词汇拼写取决于考生平时单词基本功是否过关，别无捷径，唯有认真背单词。
2.用词不当
很多考生平时机械地背词汇手册，掌握了一定的词汇量，但不知该在什么语境中使用。在写作时，由于时间关系，抑或是平时习惯使然，用词方面往往随心所欲，想到就用，所以作文中用词不当的错误比比皆是。因此考生在背单词的时候，应对其基本词组，同形词、同义词辨析等都有一个准确的把握。
举例：
例一：Then we can have a wider choose.(choose是动词，这里应为名词choice)
例二：They insist on post-graduate study is very important for them.(应改为They insist that post-graduate study is very important for them.)
例三：In the past， the price of meat was so expensive that most families could not afford it.(应改为In the past， the price of meat was so high that most families could not afford it.)
3.词组搭配错误
词语的搭配是英语学习中的一项重要内容，要正确地认识和使用词语，就必须在词语与词语的联合上多下功夫。然而，有些考生平时不注意积累，或对一些约定俗成的词语记忆不牢，使用时模棱两可，从而影响了作文的质量。
举例：
例一：The price should be lowered in order to meet the students‘ acquires.( meet the students’ acquires应为meet the students‘ requirements.)
例二：Therefore，we shall attach great importance about this question.(attach great importance abo...

1.避免口语化、简化词
在写作过程中，一定要避免过度使用口语化，或者简单化的词汇。比如：“购买” 可以说成“purchase”而不是“buy”，因为写作是书面体的文章，过多地使用口语化的词汇不仅与文体不符，还显得考生的词汇量不够。
2.切忌重复使用单一词汇
优秀的英语文章是可以用不同的词汇，表达相近的语义，以此反映语义间微妙的差异，比如英语中仅仅表达“好”的意思就有许多种不同说法，pretty / excellent/ perfect / marvelous / wonderful / superior / appealing / good等等，所以在考试中要注意前文出现的词汇，后面尽量避免反复使用。
3.切忌句式的重复且简单的套用
虽然参加四级考试的考生已经掌 握了丰富的英语句式，如并列句、省略句、强调句等等，但是在有限的时间内，许多考生仍无法对这些句型运用自如，从历年的考试来看，考生的作文中反复出现的就是简单句，简单句或陈述句当然可以使用，但如果通篇都是这种句式，文章势必会缺乏文采，读起来也会显得有些乏味。
4.一定要注意写作文体，和语气的合理运用
文体不同，写作用语和语气也会有所不同，如论述类的文体需要更加严谨和规范的用语;书信类文体需要真诚和自然的用语;广告类文体则需要激情和有号召力的用语，只有把握不同文体的用语风格才能选用合适的语汇与句法。同时不同的文体对于写作的格式也有各自的要求，例如：信件与广告的格式就各不相同。还有，中国考生在英文写作时常常会将汉语表达的习惯带入到英语文章中来，出现许多如“should”、“must”、“need”这样的情态动词，而这种语气并不符合欧美人的表达习惯。
5.注意不要将汉语表达直接翻译成英语
写作和翻译不是一回事，写作既是内容的阐释，也是表达方式的崭新运用，所以从内容到形式都应该符合地道英文的用语习惯，是内容和形式的完美统一，其中汉化的痕迹越淡越好，这就需要考生通过阅读和仿写大量优秀文章来逐渐提高其写作水平。
