2. giving.在方框中能接双宾语(sb+sth) 的只有give，因为前面有was，所以要用其现在分词giving.

4. felt.句中无谓语动词，所以应选动词;hot是形容词，不是定语就一定是在系动词后作表语。方框中能作系动词的有feel(感到) 和turn(变成)，主语是人，当然是“感到”热，另外，全文用的都是过去式，所以填feel的过去式felt.
